Hi, I'm Teresa Tran — Simply said, I design & code and I like good food.

I build data platforms, telemetry, and experimentation for the software you probably use every day.

I build the plumbing behind large product rollouts — telemetry pipelines, reliability dashboards, and A/B experiments for products with hundreds of millions of users.

Large-Scale A/B Experimentation Platform

2025

The experimentation framework and reliability dashboards behind a big product rollout at Microsoft, tied to a projected ~$1B reduction in security liability. My favorite part: getting to design the way we actually measure whether the thing we shipped helped.

kubectl-mcp

Working prototype

An MCP server that lets AI agents inspect Kubernetes clusters in plain English — "show me pods that restarted in the last hour" and get a real answer. Pip-installable, open source.

  • Python
  • MCP

stride

Working prototype

A personal dashboard for my running data that recommends gear based on my training patterns and goals. Ingests from Strava, surfaces trends, and suggests shoe rotation, hydration, and race prep when I actually need them.

  • Next.js
  • Supabase
  • Strava API

About

I'm a Software Engineer II at Microsoft. My work is mostly the stuff you don't see — telemetry pipelines, reliability dashboards, and the A/B experimentation infrastructure behind a big product rollout. I like it because the questions are honest: did the thing we shipped actually help? How would we know?

I studied CS and Business at USC — graduated in '23. I interned on my current team both summers before joining full-time, which is where I first got hooked on data infrastructure. That first summer I shipped a telemetry pipeline that now ingests 1B+ user sessions, and an ML.NET classifier for a real-time alerting service.

Outside of work I'm usually reading, out on a walk, or hunting for a good coffee spot. Happy to hear from anyone building cool things — no agenda needed.
